Lithium Battery Has anyone here have a lithium battery? Any cons?

i bought a parts store lithium battery and am very happy with it so far. had it for 6 months or so. fires up my 408 easily and holds charge. only drive my car once in a blue moon but it has worked great so far.

That's kinda what I wanted to hear. Thanks for the feed back. Did you buy a special charger for it too.
I got the Shorai attached and situated in the car to run at least temporarily, still need to get a hold down for it. However, drove the car around town then to and from work today with AC and stereo (I have aftermarket headunit + amps + sub) and it did fine. Voltage stayed normal, even in traffic car was fine. Starts up quick as ever, so far so good. I'm not entirely convinced in the long term with this battery, but we'll see how she does. I haven't got the charger yet and am unsure if I will or not.

Seems like a no brainier. Remove my 40lb. Optima red top and install a 5lb. Shoraipower lithium. The battery in my work truck just died. I'll just move the Optima into the truck.
Has anyone here have a lithium battery? Any cons?

The thing I don't understand on these Lithium Batteries is, you use the same alternator to charge and keep charged in the vehicle. But you can't use the same charger out of the vehicle. What is different? Does not make sense. If someone could explain it, that would be great.

That's the thing. Not over charging it. The charger they sell charges at a lower power and shuts off so it doesn't over charge. I'm getting the charger because I know one day I'll forget and over charge it and then I'm into it for another battery.
never had a charging issue with it so i haven't bought a special charger. i may screw it up but have no plans on wasting money on a SPECIAL charger. just as stated ,don't overcharge it. probably the same people telling other people they need a special charger are the same ones selling them .... just my $.02
