Re: has anyone used the hoosier QT dot tire
I have run them in the past and really like them alot. It gets my vote for best street/strip non-radial. I personally think they are more consistent than Et Streets but thats just my .02

Re: has anyone used the hoosier QT dot tire
Hoosier's are great track tires and I run QTP 16x9.5 on mine at the track.
As far as street, the following is copied directly from Hoosier's website www.hoosiertire.com
"NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE: All Hoosier Racing Tires including DOT labeled Hoosier Racing Tires are designed for racing purposes only on specified racing surfaces and are not to be operated on public roadways. DOT labeled Hoosier Racing Tires meet Department Of Transportation requirements for marking and performance only and are NOT INTENDED FOR HIGHWAY USE. It is unsafe to operate any Hoosier Racing Tire including DOT tires on public roads. The prohibited use of Hoosier Racing Tires on public roadways may result in loss of traction, unexpected loss of vehicle control, or sudden loss of tire pressure, resulting in a vehicle crash and possible injury or death"
If your are looking for a street/track tire, that you can run all the time, Nitto 555Rs are probably the best thing going. BFG DRs would be next - but I wore 'em out in about 60 days between the street and track
Good Luck

hey nittos and bfg's are good for a car with no power adders, or stock cars. i have nittos on the back now and its not even worth it. im gonna put the stock goodyears back on it for cruisin and im gonna go with a 15 in. rim with a tire that can hook on the street for some midnight money runs . and to bring it to the track.

I run them
Good results
But, i still spin them from time to time.
I need to go to full slick this season.
But a word of warning, don't get caught in the rain. And the local law doesn't like them
