15x5 front runner dilemma

Posted this in the wheel and tire section but didnt get any hits and figured it may be a better question to ask here. I have 15 in weld rts fronts. Im looking for a tire that will fit the front. i was looking at the s/r sportsman. they have a 26x6 that fits a 3.5-5.0 rim. then they have a 26x8 that fits a 5.0-7.0 rims. i dont want a huge tire buldge with the 26x8 but dont want a 26x8 that is stretched on the rim. Let me know if there are other choices out there... or if you have pictures of a 15x5 front runner.

I think it come down to how much you plan on driving it on the street. The wider tire will be more street friendly. If it's a car that sees track use only then I'd go with a thinner wheel and tire.

Id go with the wider of the two.

Only problem with that is that the tread width is 7 inches on the bigger one... thats 2 inches bigger that the rim.

So what. Thats normal. My racestars were 17x4.5 and my hoosiers were 26x7.5. It looked perfect.

15x5 weld prostar (actually measure 5.25" on inside where tire bead contacts)

with 185/65/15 tires (from looks a 195/65/15 would fit well also and not bulge)

Running a 205/65/15 on 5" Prostars....small bulge, but only one I felt had the ratings I wanted (H-rated and load rated) plus was easy to get (along with the price)
