Default Wheel hop

Has anyone noticed that if you back into the water box and wet the rear tires to do a burnout, it seems to wheelhop worse than if you do it without backing into the water? For that matter mine seems to wheelhop if the road is wet. Never have wheelhop when dry. BTW, I have stock LCA's. Is this just me? Also I've aways had trouble powershifting when the car had low miles, just tried it again after 27K miles and got it right several times. The last time I tried it was at about 10K miles. Now I've never had any problem powershift any other cars, so I don't think it was just me. My only thoughts on it would be that the clutch is starting to wear giving more clearence from the flywheel letting me shift better. Any thoughts on these two subjects? BTW, I'm one happy camper now that I can powershift. This one thing has bugged the crap out of me, heck I can even do it with my 76 CJ5 with a 2 foot long shifter!

I probably had worst wheel hop you could
imagine.
I put the LCA's in and it totaly went away.
As far as the power shifting I have a
2001 with about 10,000 miles on it now
I have no problem powershifting.
But definately try the LCA's

If you have adjustable rear shocks, try increasing rebound dampening. You may also find cheap help with tire pressures.

Wheelhop happens when you have "medium" traction. Excellent traction won't hop, nor will crappy traction. My Nitto's would hop ONLY on the shift into second, and only when the track wasn't slippery.

When I switched to ET Streets, it went away completely. Nor did it hop with Eagle F1's.

Some people still get hop even with LCA's and Torque arms. It has alot to do with the tires/traction.
