Default Paging Onyx LS1

Hey, man. On the bolt-on list, they have you down as having 3.42's in a Moser 12-bolt. Is that correct? I'm just double-checking because if so, you're the only person higher than me on the list w/ 3.42's in an M6. And to think, I ran my 12.039 @ Ennis on Nittos!!!

That is a mistake, I went for 4.10s when I got my 12 bolt.
But when I ran 11.95 I still had my 10 bolt (which also had 4.10s), stock clutch, and 100% stock suspension. I have done some more work and will go try and break my 11.95 soon.

A 12.0 @ 115 is about as good as it gets with 3.42s (nearly impossible without the weather you had), your car is running excellent.
Get some 4.10s! I want to see what it will do

Hey, Onyx, I don't know about that, man. I think my 1.849 60' can be improved upon, and I could also take a couple hundred pounds out of the car, run on BFG Drag Radials, shift quicker, and put some LCA relocation brackets, and hope to hit 11.800 @ 117 this Saturday @ HRP (IF my clutch holds).

You definitely have some room for improvement if you get some weight out of the car. Why don't you find some E.T. Streets to run on? Also remember huge clutch dumps on 3.42s are not gonna last long. I agree you will run better at ~3300 lbs, with better tires, and LCA relocation brackets. I may try to make it out to HRP Saturday also, we could have some REALLY good races!

Onyx, hey, man....what were you saying wouldn't last too long with big clutch dumps on 3.42's? The clutch or the rear-end or what?

I'll race you, but DON'T SPRAY ME!!! I'll cry!!! Do you have a cage in your car? That's another thing I'm worried about is them giving me a timeslip if I run an 11 w/o a cage.

Looks like I'll be at HRP next Friday and Sat (15th & 16th). Will you be able to make it either of those days?? I won't spray ya!
I do need to get some nitrous times though, but not until I am ready to get booted. I am going to get a cam/intake soon and get a Wolfe cage then, for now I just get bitched at. I'll get one hell of a screaming at when I spray!

I was saying your clutch won't last, your rear should be better off with 3.42s. But who knows with a damn 10 bolt.

Sometimes they lecture you for a second then let you on your way, I guess it isn't a big deal when you're only a few hundreths under 12. They threatened to not give me my timeslip when I ran my 11.95, they had me thinking I ran like a 11.80 haha. She gave it to me though.
I'm not sure what they're gonna do to me when I spray and hopefully run LOW 11s.
I can't wait to run ya man, we definitely need a camera man!

Onyx, that rocks!!!! I probably won't go Friday night, but Saturday, I'll be at the gates @ 9 a.m. That's a promise! I think (translated "hope") my clutch will be fine, as long as I just completely dump it and not slip it in the least. That may not give me the very best 60' times possible, but if my clutch starts burning, that could hurt my ET and MPH and all that stuff. So what happens when you run high 11's @ HRP w/o a roll cage? Can't wait to race you, dude! Win or lose (probably lose) it should be close! If I can strip my car down a lot, it may be pretty close!
