Default Line Lock Question....

Looking to put a line lock on my car. Question is: Do I launch from a push of a switch while Im staging? Is this about all there is to it? It is activated by flipping a switch and pressing of the brake pedal correct? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks

line lock is primarly for ease of doing proper burnouts. i imagine you could use it to hold the front tires and slip the clutch and launch it, but that would get pretty complicated in the short time you have at the tree once you stage.

back into the water box..pump the pedal down like two times and hold it down hard..flip the switch and the front brakes will hold. do burnout..when ready flip switch off and power out of the box..

I have an slp line lock, and when you flip the switch off, it takes about a second to fully release the pressure in the line. It would not be ideal if you wanted to launch off the switch. Smoking the tires though is 10X as easy as it was before, that's for sure.

As silverghost stated, line locks are primarily used for heating your tires up. A transbrake works well for what your considering....though that would take a different tranny though. Pressure should be released instantaneously when the control switch is de-activated.

If you get good at it, you can preload your drivetrain, but it takes practice...nothing like a transbrake though.

Email us for your line lock needs; we manufacture 3 different types of complete kits including pre-formed lines, a master-arm switch, control switch as well as an LED indicator, everything needed for a direct bolt-on.

Hope this helps,

your not giving any specs on car,ie convertor, gears , line loc is primarly for burn out, convertors are made to flash so if you do have a convertor your not supposed to be trying to hold it to its rated stall, but like i said no info here as to what might be problem
