Good to hear Michael. How did you adjust the links? Did you put preload on one side or just tighten them both the same?
I've got one standing in the corner of my garage to install once I get everything else done.

Jim- Yes I preloaded the pass. side. Just make sure that the drivers side door jam is 1/16 in. lower than the pass side. Make sure the adjusting links point down slightly when the car is lowered back down on the ground.

Just be careful about that cornering. It'll fool ya! It doesn't lean which makes you think that it corners great....then get into a curve just a little more than last time and you better be on your toes! That back end will come around pretty quick if you're not paying attention.

Thanks for the warning Colonel. I don't take curves hard anymore anyways. Between the !swaybar, skinnies and the wolfe, I'm a little more cautious.

Default Impressions with the Wolfe swaybar

Lets just get clear that this thing is unbelievable Last week we got the bar welded in and removed the RR air bag. Took the car out to Jackson last week and pulled a 1.54 60'

Last night we tried it out again down at Jackson. Fresh off the trailer with the car cold, cut a 1.54 60', 7.48 1/8, 11.87 1/4. The car launches perfectly straight. No guessing on how much air pressure to run the the air bag. That was a pain. Second pass (posi unit getting lazy) pullled a 1.55 60', 7.47 1/8, 11.84 1/4. Pass side tire quit spinning but still managed a mid 1.5 60'. I am soo impressed with this bar. The car has never cut mid 1.5's before, much less consistantly Took the car out for one more run. 1.54 60', 7.50 1/8, 11.90 1/4.

Streetable? Yes. As long as don't mind the occasional "chatter" of the adjusting links. It takes the curves good. I run skinnies on my car all the time and it handles fair but you can tell the bar's there. I might take the adjusting links off and install them when its time to go racing.

New sig baby!

Do you think you would notice an increase in street traction from this bar? Might be a nice addition to my current setup and new airbag.
What is the cost?
Cheers,
Chris

Chris, for a car that is really driven alot on the street I would recommend instead getting a REALLY stiff conventional swaybar. It'll give close to the same effect.

the only thing that has held me back from getting this bar is that I wondered if I installed this now with the 10 bolt, could I reuse it down the road if I went with a 12 bolt?

good post

what were your 60 fts before?

thanks

The car does not hook on the street with the wolfe. The stock swaybar worked much better for this ocassion. Right after we got the bar welded on we took the car out for a spin. With the ET's cool the car spun violently. Turned around and did a big burnout and launched again to find the car still spun about 12 or so feet. This was on the street. I was scared I had the wrong adjustments on the car but the next day it pulled the 1.54 with no adjustments on the bar. The very best 60' before was at Commerce on a cold morning (Snap-on day) with VHT sprayed down just on my run (1.60) Now the car pulls consistant mid 1.5's (past 2 weeks). This bar is worth the money.

Don't know if it will re-weld to a 12 bolt. Just give them a call. The C-shaped part that welds to the axle tube's are really too big for the 10 bolt so it might weld up.

Shon, where have you been? You have missed 2 weeks of a hookin' track

You can reuse it but you'll need to purchase new axle tube mounts for the 12-bolt (you'll need to specify 12-bolt also since the axle tubes are bigger.) The mounts aren't much.
