Mickey Thompson ET Drag --> tire growth?
I am thinking of switching to a set of M/T 28x10.5x15 ET Drag on a 15x10 rim. It is rated at 28.1" diameter. Anyone know how much it should grow on the top end? I figure a little less than an inch. M/T claims 1.0-1.5" @ 150mph for their ET Drag line, but I don't know what size rim they are using, vehicle weight, etc.
Any ideas?

i ran a 28x10.5 et drag on 15x10 wheels this year. after a little trimming and moving the rearend around i had about a full inch of clearance both in front and behind the tire. on a 132mph pass the tire rubbed the front, so i would say it grows a bit more than they said

On a 10in. wheel they will grow to about an inch to a tad over an inch at your traps, thats why i sold my old Drags. Your looking at a 29in. height across the line <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0"> A 26x10x15 Drag will be in the 27in. to 27.2in. range across the traps. My old 26x10x15 Drags had a 9in. contact patch so you will be in that range or a tad bit higher.
I'm going with a 11.5 ET street next for more foot patch (8.8in.) but will not swell as much as a drag will. I'm wanting to stay DOT for events and street racing.

I am not sure on if the tube would effect growth. Anyone know?
The 26x10x15 ET Drags I have now grow a solid 1" on the top end. I figure the 28" ET Drags should grow just as much, if not more. However, I'll be on a 15x10 rim now, so that should reduce some of the growth.
I'm going to try to call M/T on Monday to see their thoughts.
