Traction
Try different launches and see which one your car favors.
I run my car mostly on un-prepped surfaces, and here's the technique that works best for my car.
Air pressure to 14#'s. [ I run 28" MT/DR's, so I use a little less psi then say a car with 26" rubber].
Very light burnout. I foot break it just a bit to take the slack out of the drivetrain.
When it's time to go I blip the throttle, maybe a 1/4 of the way to the floor, sometimes more.
When I see the front end jump up and I know its not going any higher, I roll into the gas, keeping as much weight transfer to the rear for as long as I can.
Have my nitrous coming on at 4400rpm, so I am already rolling at a pretty good clip when the spray hits. I will adjust my window switch to spray at a higher rpm if the road surface sucks more then usual, otherwise I just ignite the tire's.
I am in the process of relocating my battery to the trunk, as well as getting a ballast box from jegs to mount in the trunk. Between the two, that will be 120lbs of weight over the rear end.
Hopefully that will get me the kind of launch I want.
