Weight transfer questions..traction.
I've only ran my car once since the 408 but with the stock bottom I had to leave near the limiter. Now I'm leaving in the 4000 range and the car tries to spin but doesn't feel as strong. On the street I run a 315 drag radial ( track Hoosier qtp) and I've noticed that with just me in the car or a small passenger the car spins like crazy at a 40-50 punch changing lanes etc. with a 250lb passenger the car actually holds the road really well. My question is do I need weight on the back of the car to do well at the track or do I need to be making suspension adjustments? It just amazing the extra 100lbs in the passenger helped with traction on the street.

Your bilsteins are they adjustable? Start them in the middle or maybe 1 click stiffer.
For the front start them at full loose or 1 click away on extension. For compression start in the middle or 1-2 clicks up from full stiff.
What is your tire pressure?
What is your front spring rate?
Have you ever plotted yoru suspenion? Your IC might be too far out and the rear is squatting on the hit.

last year I changed to a fab 9. Went to the track and the car felt like mush in that back. Came back with a rather unimpressive performance. Made some changes to tq arm and lowers and went back.....but this time with the jack/spare in it and 3/4 tank of gas and got a new best. Almost .3 better et vs 1st time out with the fab 9 and the car was about 100lb heavier. Fuel load can change them greatly.

I can't remember the spring rate it was what mwc recommended for the car. The front strange das are adjustable but the bilsteins on the rear are just stock replacement shocks from ws6store with stock springs cut one coil. All I've done is play with the shocks when I had the stock bottom until it stopped feeling like it wanted to wheelie and left it alone. Set pinion angle at I think -2 degrees. I haven't really adjusted anything on the suspension and honestly don't know much about it. And the set up is a 408 PRC247 251/259 cam FAST 102 6 speed and 430s. Made 523/487 with a couple issues my tune is giving me 12.0 afrs at wot and 10.0 occasionally driving around lol. It went 10.74 at 129 at 3000 feet. Best 1.59 at around a 4k launch.

Go to Kevin Slaby's website www.baselinesuspensions.com . Then click on how to launch a drag car. It's gives a crash course on suspension geometry and how to plot your car.
Do you have any video's of your car launching. If not get a buddy to film your launch from the passenger side rear.

Well the weight thing was a bust. I filled it up with gas and the stupid thing cut mid 1.8s. I went from 10.74 to 11.0 lol. It blew the tires off from a 4k launch. Eric I'll be calling you this week.
