Can I fit a Hoosier 28X10X15 SLICK under my RA T/A with no trimming or hitting?
They also measure this on a 8in rim? What do u think about that?I was under the impression a 8in was too small?
Otherwise I'm going to a 28X9X15 and 4.10's

I believe depending on the back space that they will fit. But I am sorry that I don't have a 100% answer.

I don't know whether or not it will rub. But as far as wheel selection, I would not put that on an 8" rim. You will lose some contact patch. Is it only listed for an 8" or does it say 8"-10"? If it gives a rim range, it usually works best on the bigger rim.

Nope it sez measured on an 8?
And I'm not worried about it hitting length wise.
Its the area by the bottom of the 1/4 panel.

Yes, this tire will fit with the proper offset. I don't think you will notice a difference between wheel sizes, but the 10" will probably work better. Hope this helps.

hmm... both my Jegs & Summit catalogs list 8-10" as wheel recommendations for that size Hoosier.

Ok, so that's what they measured it on but that doesn't necessarily mean that the 10" won't lay down the patch better. The 10 works better. Trust me, I've had that tire on both.
With the rearend properly centered that tire will fit. It's forward and backwards where it gets close.

Colonel thats what I'm trying to figure out.
Will it hit foward of the lower ground effect on my T/A or by the lower part of the rear ground effect?
Do u think I can get away with a 28X9X15 instead?
That will fit my 15X8 perfectly but I'm concerned about the smaller contact patch of a 9in boot vs a 10in boot on a 440RWHP setup?Help me out Steve,Jay..

Joel, I have seen that setup on a Z28, 15x10 with 28x10x15 Hoosier slick.
The owner had to use a hammer and bang in a spot on the inner fenderwell where it rubbed.
I think you will need to tie back the lower part of the rear fender or trim it. On that Z28 there is tire growth and it does rub. I know with a 99 WS6 with 15x8 Draglites and 11.5x28x15 ET Street the back bumper did rub. He drilled a small hole in the bumper and ran a wire thru it and tied it back like an inch, follow me?
Here is my car last year with 28x9x15 ET Drag/15x8 Pro Star. IMO I would do 15x10's my car did sway on the top end at 12 psi of air, and I think it was due to the narrow tire...

There is also a 28x10x16 inch slick out by hooiser that fits on the stock rim and tucks up nicely underneath. There is a GP on them now in the sponsors section
Hope this helps,
Chris
