Low mileage rear Afco shock leaking , common ?
This is my second new Afco shock that I'm having to send back for leaking , these things literally have 300 miles on them , plus the car has been up on jack stands for a while . I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen or experienced the same , I thought these were the **** , only reason I'm staying with them is because of Afcos customer service .

If they were hanging the weight of the rear on them you very well could have damaged seals, this is why I was told not to let the suspension hang from the shocks. Doing that for extended periods almost guarantees leaks, my understanding anyway

W I'll believe that they went bad from sitting that's very possible. I am expecting that of mine, as I'm in the same boat.
As for my heap lol, it's coming. Starting headers first or 2nd week of October, that should be fun. 2.375 stepped to 2.5 primaries, flowmaster outlaw 2 collector muffler out the front bumper cover, wish me luck with that job lol! Once those are done, build the headlight cover mounting brackets. Driveshaft, racepak stuff, move pedals back, chute mount, fire system and wire it. I expect to make hits in it next year depending on bonus checks and how they come in to find things, etc.
Doing this without the use of a credit card, when you have a 3 year old that can always somehow need something lol.... It's painful. If I cut out the racepak and just throw a couple gauges in, and skimp on a few other things I really want to do with it I'm sure it would save time but I don't want to have to redo **** when it's done. When it's done, it's done until something breaks or the motor gets tired.

I dumped my cummins after having the whole front go a 2nd time before 100k, picked up a 2015 2500 HD with a 6.0. It's thirsty but tows the trailer fine and with my 8 mile round trip commute I have a lot better than the diesel would have been, that thing would have hated the short commute

I bet you love that IFS of the chevy. My Dmax drives like a Caddy. Nail on the head with the short commutes. Mine does regen a ton going back and forth to work but I do like 20+ on the highway when I go out on the weekends is nice. Bought a delete tuner for it but will probably trade it in before I start fussing with this truck.
