Default New best - 10.10 at 130 !!!

Last night was definately an improvement. We added Dynatech long tubes and a Gear Vendors Overdrive to the combo. Unfortunately, it was ricer night and we only got in two passes.

The first pass was on motor. It only yielded an 11.54 at 116. It was the first time using the overdrive unit. We now know that we only need it for N20 passes. Jay finished in second overdrive(you can split the gears with this unit and make it a six speed). Anyhow, it was a lame pass.

The second pass was a bit strange. The tree went nuts on us. Anyhow, on a 150 shot out of the hole and another 100 late in second gear with the overdrive after third, it yielded a 10.10 at 130. The launch was poor because of the tree issue and the second stage was late. What we were really happy with was the 1/8 mile time of 6.30. We know that when we get the bugs out, it will run a nine.

Thanks. Not bad for a 382 that we put together ourselves. Although, we have Nick Agostino to thank for the forged Lunati bottom end and MTI for the Stage II heads and cam.

The sixty foots were soft this week. The first pass was in the 1.6's and the second pass we don't know because the tree went nuts. However, the tape shows a very soft launch. We had bit of bad luck this morning though. One of the slicks went flat. The good thing is we are going to 29's as the gearing with 30's was a little high. We'll see how she does next time.
