I had a parts car '94Z, and tried various ways to remove the passenger's side airbag. The thing is held in by bolts that are only accessible from the top of the dash. I could not get it out without removing the entire plastic front dash piece... which meant that the whole dash basically had to come apart and out. It's NOT a fun task, and I'd bet it would not be easy to reassemble and make 'squeak-free' (or even low-squeak <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0"> ).
I sold it for $185 on ebay. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

Re: Passenger side Air Bag removal WELL....I guess it will just stay in for now until I am ready to put the car on a true diet. I got some easier stuff to remove, oh well....
