Rollbar Modification

I have a Kirk Racing 10-point cage in my car. I would like to make the 5th and 6th points be removeable and/or swing out. Does anyone know if this type of modification will void the NHRA certification?

Yes, you can make the door bars swingouts. Jegs, and Summit carry swing out kits, I am sure.

I would still like to know if it will void the NHRA certification if the bars are modified.

If the car is stickered now you will have to get the chassis reinspected.

they can be made to swingout but both the pin and the swing should be less than 8 inches from the upright and main hoop,make sure the parts u get are NHRA approved quite a few are not go to pg210-211 of the rule book and see which way u want to do it ,and it shoulb be gusseted[not required but stronger,see photo bob
