I have always hated bolting together car parts when they look so shiny and beautiful. They will never be the same.
Such a beautiful thing.

So with 11 more pounds for the tq arm mount and bolts, the rear axle is sitting at 178 pounds. The rear brakes weigh in at 25lbs. Bringing the total to 203lbs. 40 spline gun drilled, star flanged, aluminum center, and fab center housing with brakes is a whopping 30 pounds less then the old iron center ford case with oem rear lt1 brakes. Dang, that was expensive for 30 pounds. But it is pretty and the axle should be quite a bit stronger.

Haha....I worked at Aerospace for almost 5 yrs. Those are the drag race only rotors, and they do NOT like street use, so be mindful. The rotors get hot and bowl. regardless, they are light, and work. I have them on all 4 corners on my Chevelle and been on the car for 15yrs (although I have the heavier veined street rotor). Those axles are badass, and you wont hurt em. I really like your car man, and Im glad to see your progress. I wish you still lived in FL lol.

Will not work with your factory F-body gauges. You have to use a racepak, or Ive seen guys have good luck with using a tablet as a gauge cluster. RedRocketz28 has a nice setup in his car.

i drive just fine on strange drag brakes. no issues driving around or driving to track a hour away. barly feel different than stock. but of coarse we all know you cant drive them hard with alot of heat cycles. but other than that they do just fine, just need longer to cool off

Im not bashing the product, just going from experience. I use aerospace brakes on my personal car, which weighs 3000lbs and hasnt seen road use in 10 yrs. I dont run the drag only rotors though.
My close friend bracket races a mid 7sec 1900lb dragster. He had the dual caliper setup on his car, and the rotors bowled so bad he couldnt get the rotors free from the hats. He went with Strange brakes a few years back and hasnt had a single issue since.
Good American company, with an awesome owner, and they will work with customers who experience problems. So OP, try em out and if you have any issues, dont hesitate to call them.

Strange is not Aerospace. Trust me, they will warp like a bowl and bind up the caliper. I wasnt an office worker for Aerospace, I was a machinist, parts assembler, and later the tech guy you called when you had brake problems. The rotors they use are NOT hardened. They are simply cut out of a sheet of metal, double disc ground, machined, and chucked in a box.

Yes, you can upgrade to the veined rotors. It requires different caliper brackets, new rotors, and spacers that go between the caliper halves. I would try them out. If you do very little street driving, your car is light enough, you may get away with it for a little while.

Yes I do have a strange master. Probably why the oem brakes worked so poorly. lol
