Anyone try out A 15x8 Prostar with a 6.5" BS?
It's on a stock width 9" rear. Trying to tuck the wheels in a little more than a 5.5" BS. This is going with 275/60-15 ET Street Pros. It appears that I have 8.125" from the rotor face to the bump stops, so I'm thinking that with an 11.4" section width they will need to be relocated to pull this off. I was just wondering if anyone has been down this road before, and if there's anything I'm not considering prior to getting my wheels delivered. BFH, grinder, and welder are no strangers to this car, so "subtle" reconstruction of the tub area will be fine by me. Thanks in advance.

If the rear is stock length, 6.5 is the proper BS on an 8" wheel. You WILL NOT have to chop off the bumpstop with said tire, especially on the 8" wheel. It's the equivalent of 7.5 bs on a 10" wheel. People seem to get this mixed up, often.
5.5 really cause the wheel/tire to stick out

Thanks for the reply. I see that most are running a 15x8 on a 5.5" or a 15x10 on a 7.5", however I've seen a 15x10 on a 7.75" that brought the tires into the tub perfectly. My concern was on a 6.5" BS with an 11.4" section width that the tires might scrub the bumpstops with any kind of deflection.

My friend has a stock width Moser rear end with 6.5 bs pro stars the only thing I can't remember is if it's a 10 or 9".wheel but we all run the 275/60/15 mt pro drag radials so I don't see u having issues hope this helps if u need to know if its 9" or 10" for sure I can find out for u
