Anyone have a lq4 bored to a 408 with the stock crank? What hp you made? & is it worth doing if I'm still keeping the stock crank

If you bore a block big enough to be a 408 with the stock crank, you'll have overlapping pistons.

Lol. But seriously, you have to stroke it too. Bore .030" and stroke 4". I wouldn't do it with a stock block. The Pistons come out of the bore at bdc and wear the skirts faster. You could do a 3.90" crank and get a 398" or just build a 370" with a stock crank. With good cam, heads, and headers you can make 600hp n/a with a stock crank.

Yeah, keep the stock crank and bore it till you get 408 cid out of it.
You come up with some of the dumbest questions I ever heard.
BTW, did you ever named your car?
