Default Is it possible to crack into the 11's with a m6 and stock gears on street tires?

I've got some work done to my car (cam + headers, ls6 intake) and was wondering if its possible to crack into the 11s on street tires with stock gears?

I've read about people doing it with 4.10s and bolts while dropping some weight. Im just curious if I'm fighting a losing battle.

Thanks.

list your mods im curious!

But yes absolutely if you drive hard and work on your driving. I know someone with the basic bolt-ons (lid, ripper, pulley, LCAs, headers, and catback) and ran a 11.98@i think 116 with a 1.8 short on street tires!!

With limited experience, I think it would be hard to run in the eleven's because of traction on street tires. If you want a street tire for stripe/street, maybe you should consider Nittos. I run my first eleven last Saturday on Nittos which I drove on the street. Search the forum for Nittos and learn about them if you are interested.

The closest I've gotten to an 11 on a street radial tire (Goodyear GS-C) was a 12.21 @ 119 mph. My car was full weight (3,550 lbs) - I have heads/cam and a 3.42 10-bolt. I cut a 2.1 60 ft.

Thanks guys for the replies.

I have a 2000 with an ls6 intake, a 218 cam, mac headers with offroad ypipe and S2 ported heads. I am stock weight and was just wondering what times I was in store for after doing these mods.

Just an FYI, before the heads, cam, headers and intake, I ran a best of 12.84 @ 110.5 with a 1.94 60'. This was on eagle F1's. I was just curious as to what I should be 'satisfied' with when I run. I think a solid .6 - .8 drop in et is realistic.
