OP, if you haven't bought anything yet I would use the Holley display dash. Piece of carbon, alum? Black fiberglass, kydex plastic can be mounted to put the dash Into and it will fit nicely.

racepak iq3 if there's an interface to the Holley is nice too, if you haven't spent money on other gauges I would try to do an all in one, just a lot less work to mount and easier to see all the #'s you want by looking in one spot.

Once I get the iq3 mounted in my vfn dash I'll put a pic up.

Just in case you didn't read. The OP asked about mounting Autometer Gauges. No you cannot remove the part of the dash that never needs to be removed. All the parts that need to come off do, with no problem. And I'm 6' 4" at 260lbs and the bar you are referring to, doesn't even come close to my knees. The car was not built for you. And your opinion means little. But you can keep being a Dick if you want.

You're as big a guy as I am chief I don't know how you get in and out of that car with the bars like that, even if you moved the seat as far back as I did with my car you couldn't possibly reach the steering wheel so that thing has to be right up on your legs... No matter how tight you make that seatbelt you'll move some and if your legs hit that you are not going to like the results. I have had the unfortunate experience of seeing what a bar there can do to a driver in a bad wreck it's not good. 2 compound fibula fractures was the result....

If you like it that way and it passed chassis cert rock it that way. My opinion may not mean much to you that's fine, but if you want to continue being a dick I can fix that too.
