Ghetto hatch pictures
Here are some more pics of project ghetto famulous:
<img src="http://members.aol.com/terencevv/mycars/side1.jpg" alt="" />
<img src="http://members.aol.com/terencevv/mycars/side2.jpg" alt="" />
<img src="http://members.aol.com/terencevv/mycars/back1.jpg" alt="" />
<img src="http://members.aol.com/terencevv/mycars/ns1.jpg" alt="" />
The wood looks pretty bad, but a fiberglass "notch back" hatch would be really nice. The wood version saved about 75#. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Ghetto hatch pictures
Terry.. I'm with you. Notchback all the way. Looks awesome from the side. Wish I knew someone who laid 'glass.
Notchback is much better looking than the wagon thing HURST made.

Why don't you make your whole car out of plywood and ducktape? That would save a lot more weight. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />

Re: Ghetto hatch pictures
If I could take more weight off using wood and duct tape I would. Maybe a plexi-glass hood is next? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Ghetto hatch pictures
That has got to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. I surprised that even Terry would do this... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Ghetto hatch pictures
Lol I told you guys I was ghetto!!! I have the hatch in the garage. I drove the car around a few times with it and I kinda like it from the inside.
It cost about $40 in materials to make, a lot cheaper than the $500 lexan hatch. Having an extra cheap fbody around to **** with is fun. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I dont know whether to laugh or cry. I'll give ya one thing Terry, at least you had the ***** to try it.
I'll give ya an "A" for effort.
I bet it actually helps 1/4 mile times.... but lordy. I [b]really[b] dont like how it looks.

Re: Ghetto hatch pictures
This setup has alot of potential in my eyes. Think of it as a rough draft, and the final product would match the curves of the car, be painted to match the body color and in fiberglass. The look through the back window is cool!
