need to gain a tenth

I would like to reduce my race weight rather then do another mod,I'm looking for a cheap mod.

I need opinions.Would it help to remove my(metal)hood,back seat,sway bar,and 1/4 tank of gas vs half tank.Or can someone tell me of an inexspensive mod I can do.

My mods are in my sig.

!back seat, you can always put it back in rather easily. Mine was like 22 pounds. Spare tire/jack was ~38 lbs. Gas is heavy as well.......

anotehr freebie is to jack up you front tire pressure at the track. take whatever the max recomended cold pressure is on teh sidewall and add 10psi to it whiel you are running. makes it easier for the car to get rolling and rolls easier down track for a little mph gain.

run it low on gas (gas is 7 # per gallon)
Take all the junk out of the car.
pull the spare/jack and back seats.
Inflate the front tires to 50psi
pull the front sway bar or disconnect the ends
run the washer fluid low or out

there is your tenth if not more

I usually run 30 psi in the stock front tires ... how much will going to 50 psi (cold) help??

It is probably ok to go 5lbs over the recommended maximum on the tire. Anything more would be pushing the envelope a little too far, and you might be compromising your safetly.

There probably wouldn't be any kind of significant difference, unless of course your front tires were at 5psi and about ready to fall off the rim. If you filled your tires to the maximum pressure suggested by the manufacture, you probably wouldn't see any better times filling the tires 15-20psi over.
