The 17 inch nitto's with stock sus pension work on the M6 should yield in the area of 1.85 to 2.00 depending on driver's skill and varying RPM lauches. With little suspension work such as Hal shocks and Hal Drag springs, the 60' would come down. You must get the 60'down to run a respectable ET. Do whatever it takes to get it down, if your are a serious drag racer or weekend warrior. Cheers.

The BFG is a better track tire. I use Nittos cause I leave them on all the time and you wont get in trouble in the rain. They definately helpon launch 1.95- 2.00 on my 3650 race weight car with 3.42s. Also on the 1-2 shift. But for track only BFGs or ET streets. The Nittos are a decent compromise for street/strip.

on a A4 its no difference in nittos and BFG's

i know plenty guys in the solid 1.8's with nittos on a M6... if you want a nice wearing tire and for track get nittos..

just be sure to burn them out and up to the tree! keep them hot and they will hook..

guys i agree the bfg for a track tire is the way to go but with just the drs and no lca or anything by dropping my sixty foots down to a 1.9-2.0 how would this effect my times. like i said before how much will they lower my times if i cut a 1.9 instead of a 2.25? would it be just .35 better or more? that is my real question

anybody have an idea about the improvement of 1/4 mile times by dropping the sixty foot by a few tenths?

It is my understanding that for each tenth drop in the 1.70 up to 2.25 range on the 60' time the ET drops by about a tenth. Remember this is my general undestanding, and not concrete by any means. This will give you a ballpark figure to work with in improving your ET. Again, you must improve your ET, whether it be different tires, different launches, varying tire pressures, proper burnout and weather conditions. Talk to your friends and of couse ask questions. Cheers.

Here is what I got=2.2 60'=13.3 1/4,2.0 60'=13.0 1/4,1.93 60=12.84 1/4..This day I did 17 runs so I compared different runs.The speed was 107mph-109mph on all runs.
I also run stock Firehawk tirea on a 3780 race weight.With practice I was pulling consistant 2.0's 60's with a few 1.93 60's.
