The nations fastest NA LT1 1/4
Hi
Who know more/last info about this car TransAm LT1 1995 and any fastest NA LT1's
The TransAM M6 1995 :
Dave has built the car from the ground up. 1995 Transam now holds the nations fastest NA 6speed LT1 1/4 time, 10.76 @ 131.76. After reaching his goal of being the fastest LT1 Manual car, he is now building a LS1 to drop in

The 396 had a soild roller cam and ported AFR heads. The run was made through a ford 9-inch with 4.30 gears. Also had a Mcloed twin disc clutch. The car was VERY STREETABLE and got about 25 mpg's on the highway.
The LS1/6-speed that is in it now has a stock bottom end, Hdy cam, and stock valve set of heads that were ported by Dave and myself. It went 11.04 @ 125.64 yesterday at the North/South shoot out. Trapped 127.89 (Yesterday) on one run but only had a 1.74 60 to go with that mph.
As far as I know Tanner has only gone 10.9's NA? But He was running 10.9's yesterday in 1000 + DA. In cooler air he should be able to go faster than 10.76.

He is refering to mine with the details of the 396 and LS1. NB99Z works at my shop, and told me about this thread. He gave a good description of what it was, and is this time. The fact the stock 346 LS1 is running right with the high effort 396 that is at the top of the LT1 M6 set up is a testimant of the LS1s potential. As for someone going faster in the Lt1 6 speed catagory, Im sure it will happen. Eventually.

the Blue all motor lt1 with an Automatic is steve quinns car( 9.71 @ 138.xx mph), the blue 96 SS, m6 on spray is my car, 9.58 @ 141.70 mph. my new mph best is 128.65pmh, and yes 10.91 is best et so far, my rear gear is a 4.11 ratio. a 4.56 would be perfect for motor but crap for spray, i will stick with the 4.11 for purposes of diving into the lower 9's once the bottle goes back in the car.
what was with the track guy flipping out about fluids??? that guy needed some serious help!
