Default New Torque converter

ok I have 98 trans am ls1 first upgrades i did headers / no cats and efi tune !!!! Boy the car woke up roasting the tires and a nasty 30mph pull . Now my question is i just install a circled the 3200 stall and the car not Roasting tires no more and the 30mph pull feel not as strong why is that ????

Might need to have the tune adjusted, also the converters tend to feel a little sluggish until you are foot completely on the floor. Here's a couple old videos that give you an idea what to expect.....what gear youre in vs speed determines how the car takes off as well.

I think the new converter is not locking up as quick as the stocker you upgraded from. Stock stall is 1900-2100ish I think vs your new 3200 stall. Also depends on what gear you are in and the rpms your turning as well. A retune should help clear that up!

You have to low of a stall from my experience. You probably should have gone with a 3,600, 3,800 or even a 4,000 stall.
The 3,200 is more for a FI car.
My first converter was a 3,200 which was replaced with a 4K and soon I was cutting 1.3X sixty foot times.
