Help me put this pig on a diet!
Put the shortest possible grade 8 in everywhere instead of having 1/2 an inch of excess or more from what my chassis guy put in.
I run the shortest bolt possible and use aluminum fasteners for stuff where strength isn't involved like interior panels. Then if non strength is needed I use allen head fasteners say like on engine accessories. 12 point nuts on valve cover bolts or even aircraft fasteners. That gives you an idea of ways to do it but isn't any cheaper than any other mod to cut weight and isn't a great loss in weight savings per cost but eventually these are the differences it takes.
However during the winter I put my car up in the air and go over every bolt in the vehicle. Very important practice to get into.
Removed wiper motor and assembly @ #14 so now #3226!
