Default PAGING JS >>>>>>>>>

Are you and/or the Cartek group coming to Cecil on Saturday? This would be a great opportunity to get the Fbodies that are in this area to meet. Weather looks real good right now.

Gotta work Dave <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
My boss wont give me off on Sat.

I still need some things finalized on the car anyway..

The car is going to Jays Thurs. for the K-member,Hals,and a few other little tweeks.Plus I still need to get julio to set my part throttle shift points alittle higher for the new verter and my wot shifts at 6800.

I hope to have the car RACE ready by the middle of next week. Then its off to Atco.Sorry Dave wouldve loved to come down but work comes first.

The diets going well too,I lost 11lbs now and have gotten down to 344lbs.Hoping to hit 300lbs by Oct.?If I can click off a 10.90@123 with me in the car,I'll achieved MY PERSONAL goal.

I plan to make the car a STREET car again.I'm going back to a PI3200,3.73's,Corbeau seats,and 17X11 & 17X9.5 Fiske's.

If it runs 11.50's so be it.I wanna drive the car or at least be able to sell it if I get the urge to buy a VIPER

Good luck at Cecil Dave.

JS just stop eating for a month and you'll lose that weight. I'd like to lose 15#s (of fat) as well. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Terry I gotta tell you the urge to eat junk has passed.I'm eating well and riding the bike 5 times a week now for 25 min a day.Once a week I eat whatever I want but the other 6 I stay pretty consistant.

U kinda got me thinking about what is a street car lately.I decided if I hit 10's this fall then I'm done.I'm gonna slow the car down about 1/2 sec. and enjoy it more.If I get the urge to buy a GTS next yr. I can then sell it no problem.

Good luck in the next few weeks trying to crack a 10.I'll be attempting the same thing in about 14 days or so.

JS I think you can have a good street strip car. Just switch back to 3.73s, a TP4200 converter, a nice quiet exhaust, and keep the AC and stuff on. You probably will only lose .15ths that way.

Well I havent made any commitment yet
But I really wanna put Fiske wheels on the car Terry. They r beautiful. Also a quiet exhaust and yes a tighter verter and 3.73's down the road.Like I said if it runs 11.5@120 on DR at full wieght that would be kickass IMO.

Will see?
U know me I change like the wind

JS - Will Julio be coming with his group? He had lots of guys/cars at MIR last Sat.

As far as bringing the car back to true street form, I consider suspension changes more important than anything. Sure, you'll want to tighten the converter. And your gears are too high for the street. But in my case, the suspension stuff took more of a toll on streetability than anything. #1 change I'd make is switching back to stock torque arm. Aftermarket arms mounted to the g-load brace area send significantly more vibration through the cabin. Your k-member won't help, either. And of course you'll want the factory sound deadening in if it's not already.

I have my car setup now so that I can remove the entire back half of the carpet and all back panels and back seats in about ten minutes at the track. That way on the street I still have my sound deadening etc and it looks stock. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Cheers,
Chris

Dave,
It is really easy to do <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
You need to trim the sides of the carpet a little to make it easier putting it back in under the panels but it looks totally stock <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I left my seatbelts in the car too. I decided it wasnt worth removing those at the track as well. (Plus I didnt have the tools LOL <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
The back half of my car looks stripped and the front is bone stock. Worth about 70 pounds total with front pass seat, back seats and rear carpet/panels removed.
Cheers,
Chris

Dave my 4.56's with a 15in wheel/28in street tires isnt bad at all.Its actually BETTER than your car running 4.30's/17in wheel/26in tall street tire.

My TQ arm is off the trans crossmember,It doenst make ANY noise.Sure the Kmember will transmit alittle vibration but nothing too bad.

With 17in Fiske's,DR's and a PI 3200/3.73 combo my car will still run 11.50 IMO and it'll be a REAL street car again.

But it wont happen until I attain my personal goal---->10.90@123 with ME driving.

Dont know if Julio's going.
Just call Cartek and ask...

We discussed the May FBody shoot-out months ago; I'm surprised you're not coming.

Have Dave bring your car down. He has the !Fat mod. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Hell, have Julio bring your car down and I'll drive it. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" /> I'm tired of watching onyxss's tail lights and your car stands a fighting chance.
