Default My car will be running again soon!

Damn, it's been awhile! Almost 3 months since I scattered the bottom end in my old motor...

My ARE 346 solid roller motor is complete and shipping out to me today. I should see it early next week, and hope to have the car running again by next weekend if all goes well. There will be a bit of tuning required, and still a tiny bit of fabrication that I haven't been able to finish without the engine in the car (fuel lines & spark plug wires).

Hopefully I'll be racing again very soon.

I'm just gonna take things easy and see how they work out...

How crowded have the TNT nights been lately?

I ended up repainting a good bit of the car, as well as all the fire damage underneath. Everything came out fairly well. I still need to trim the rear bumpre cover a little more for tire clearance, but it's OK for now.

I'm probably gonna have to drop some $$$ on a custom built 8" race converter to optimize the new combination. I won't be changing the converter for awhile though... Hopefully it will work "OK."

George I was there to spectate last Fri. night and it wasn't too bad. If I hadn't broken a valve spring earlier on that day I would have had the quickest car there.

Lanes 1&2 only had about 6 cars and the street car lanes had the usual flock or ricers and amateur idiots. Maybe 100 cars total.

Keep me posted. Let me know if you need a crew chief
I can get you a reference if you need one

What did you do with your old heads? Have you sold them? Just curious if your plan of two motors is still in the works

I'm still planning a very mild spare motor, but it won't be done anytime soon. Hopefully I can keep this one together for awhile.

I'll probably head down there in the next couple of weeks, assuming all goes as planned with the engine install next week.

I picked up a solid .1-.15 sec or so with them.

I may look into a 1 7/8 header (not a stepped design) w/ 3.5" collectors in the near future though.

Wire ties are like my AMEX card....I don't leave home without them!

I should have my car back up and running by the end of next week if my heads show up by Friday. I installed the new cam today and buttoned up the front of the motor. All I need now are the heads. I hope UPFuckin'S doesn't lose them like they did last time. UPS
