NataSS is in a desperate situation please help NataSS and I are running the PE130 ORR this sunday. We ran our practice runs today ( I ran at 171 mph ! )and unfortunately NataSS had an engine failure. He had a rocker bolt break off thus destroying 2 of his Harland Sharp rockers. There are NO parts, aftermarket or stock for an LS1 here in Battle Mountain, NV. Basically he came all this way, time and expense only to meet failure unless one of you members can help him out. He found 2 stock rockers that he could use, but he needs the long shaft that the rockers bolt to and nobody around here is able to help him out. Obviously if anyone had 2 extra HS rockers that would be ideal. We will drive wherever we have to to meet someone who might have this shaft ( the drivers side if it makes any differance, and will make it worth their time, but it has to happen by tomorrow or he's sunk. I realize this is probably the wrong section, but please don't move it. We need a high traffic section to increase our chances of success. We were able to find a stock pedistol in a VERY TINY town about an hour away. Came off a 5.3 motor. We got the car up and running and finished the first leg of the race. Only to have the race called off because one of the UNL. class cars came off the road at over 190mph.
Yeah, **** happens when your racing but your willing to do just about anything when you have already coughed up 1000.00 entry fee, thousands more just preparing the car and are 900 miles from home. I was willing to do just about anything to get these parts. Luckily a small town engine builder was doing a 5.3 swap into his ford ranger and was willing to part with this stuff. LS1's are unheard of in the area we were in. Even the guy at the NAPA store had no idea what an LS1 car was. Thats when I knew we were going to have trouble finding the stuff.
