Your biggest problem on your slip is the 60 foot , if you get some dr's on it and trim that even into the 1.8's your times will get very low in the 13's , lighter wheels , dr's, and better racing weather and you will be flirting with that 12.9 you were hoping for. Your mods should produce 12.6-12.9 results on a sticky tire IMO especially with an 01 car it should have the LS6 Intake manifold on it. very similar in mods to one of my automatic cars that went 12.1 @112 in better weather with a 3600 stall , after tires stall would be your best investment it will knock off at least 1/2 second for you.
^^I agree on all counts ^^

Several problems I see you fighting here:

The first is that tire and wheel combo. A 19 with a standard street tire will be very difficult to get much promising performance out of. The next I see is the lowering spring. These are causing 2 issues. The first being the lack of rate. Eibach springs have very soft rates and do not tend to put much pressure on the tires for launching. The second being that the control arms being in the stock location, they are now at a downward angle towards the chassis which is also unloading the tire. A relocation bracket and a decent tire will make a huge difference in your 60' times and getting the car quicker. A better spring wouldn't hurt either

I will look in to different springs as well. Want to eventually get viking adjustable shocks. I like the stance of the car vs stock height. Can I maintain that and still get performance from other springs?

In the meantime, can't I just get some stock camaro or trans am wheels and put the largest drag radial I can on them? What size would you recommend until I can get some nice wheels for racing.
also, I've read where people use the spare tire rim and different tires for the front. Is it worth it?
I'll only go to the track once a month and I'll only drive it 75 miles a week but I'll ride these current wheels until I want to go to the track.

Absolutely! My car is quite low (tucks a 28" tire in rear and 26.5" in front) on Viking coilovers. It's all about geometry and making changes in it according to ride height changes. Moving the control arm mounts down on the axle side and or moving the torque arm mount up in the front will allow you to maintain proper instant center geometry with whatever ride height you are at

Yes, even just getting some stocker 16 or 17's with a decent drag radial for weekend use would be greatly beneficial. I wouldn't worry too much about the fronts for now. Most of your improvement will come from the rears at this point

I agree with bmr, some stock 16 Camaro wheels with dr's would be a great step in the right direction, if you could find a set of 4 that have 2 good stock size tires between them then you could throw those on the front and the dr's on the other 2 for the rear , stick with something 26" tall/stock size.

With that mph the car could go high 12's easy with better short times.
