ls engine mid and front plates
I got a few questions regarding both mid and front engine plates...
back story : building a full tubular awd ls t56 Cts, and i plan on using both mid and front plates instead of regular motor mounts.
1. Would i have to do anything to the t56 (vette bellhousing) to make it mount to the engine with the mid plate inbetween?
2. Would the front engine plate work well enough with the stock water pump? (would i have to do anything to the water pump to keep it from leaking)
3. Would i be able to retain all accessories (Power steering pump, AC compressor, and Alternator) with the front engine plate?
4. Would i have to use an aftermarket crank pulley to align it all? (i dont think shimming a stock one would be very good)
I plan on keeping the Alternator down low and power steering pump high on the Drivers side, with the Ac compressor high on the pass side.
I have to make sure to leave the bottom of the pass side empty since the front diff will be going in that location.
Any answers will be much appreciated!
