Fbody heads up racing
The MHRA class I have been paying attention to is Factory stock. I am watching these guys take cars with barely any mods into times where a car like that shouldn't be.....or maybe should??? I want to answer back for the lack of heads up racing in the Fbody community. I was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in a few different budget minded heads up racing classes.
I know next I am going to get the "but in bracket it's all equal and everyone has a fair chance". My answer to that is in a class like the ones I am thinking of it won't take much to be competitive and "equal". Since it is a budget minded class you won't go bankrupt trying to build a class car either. once you hit the limits of mods it all comes down to driver, much like bracket racing. Major difference is the excitement. being 3/4s through the quarter and being nose to nose with someone knowing anything can happen can really get your blood pumping. You can go all out without the fear of breaking out. It's true racing at it's fullest.
I have been working on some brief outlines for some rules to give you guys a general idea as for what to expect so I can get some good honest opinions. Mind you, these are a very brief general outline for 3rd gens and LS1 cars.
