I was thinking either the BMR X-Treme duty or the Madman arm? Any others that are not going to prezzle?

I have a new ARE 422ci
TNT 250 shot
McLeod dual disc for the M6
Dennys N20 steel driveshaft
Moser 9 inch
28 inch M/T ET Drags for tires

I haven't tried out my Madman arm, as my car won't be running for another few days. However, I can tell you that it is built very well, and has more adjustability than any other arm out there. I'm sure I'll be very pleased with it. The amount of adjustability will come in very handy dialing in the car for differing track conditions.

The only downside I can see in it is that it will be more difficult to fab up an exhaust system due to the crossmember that bolts to the factory holes in the floorboard and welds to the frame connectors. Not an issue for me, though, since my exhaust consists of two tiny mufflers just off the ends of my collectors. Hell, they aren't even on the car most of the time.

Small company called HP Motorsports has the Mega-Bite Torque arm. It by far is the best piece I have ever seen. Fully adjustable, and heavy duty. Though they are known for thier mustang technology, and Saleen devolopement, I have trusted thier parts on 4 cars that I have owned and have never had a problem.
Thats HP Motorsports in Omaha,Ne. 402-731-7301
No I dont work for them. LOL!

It does hang low, so clearance could be an issue for lowered cars.

I'd like to go with the Madman ram since it has been proven on an 1100 HP LT1 car. I just wish Madman would accept credit card. Since money needs to go to other things now.

I noticed the BMR arm is listed as not recommended for cars faster than an 11.00. Yet BMR has the xtreme arm on their project 8 second car??????? WTF.

Anyone know if the BMR X-treme duty arm comes with their SFC's or is that extra. If so then I'm going to have to save money for the Madman arm.

GeorgeC., Madman mentioned you right away. Said that you would be able to give me an unbiased oppinion on his arm. Thanks for your honesty. I just wish you could give me a heads up on how it performs at the track.

Colonel, I was told that you use the R/T arm. Being that I have a manual, I think my launches are going to be harder on drivetrain parts than your auto. BTW, I just sold my R/T arm.

i personally just ordered a Madman arm. look at the cars that use them. they all hook. plus im just plain tired of breaking ****. ive seen a few people beak the BMR extreme, and that just doesnt appeal to me. the adjustability of the Madman arm will be a major plus on my setup too. the recomendation to not use the BMR arm below 11.00 is for their stock style TA that mounts to the tranny. the extreme arm is meant for 8-10 second use

fwiw i jacked up a Random Tech arm pretty bad in just a couple months of use on my manual car. i think part of why Colonel has had sucess with it is his low raceweight (800lbs less than me). add 800lbs, and lauch it at 7000rpm like me and im sure he would be stepping up to something else

Yes, low weight and having an auto of course makes a big difference. But having a transbrake kinda brings it back the other way. I'm probably borderline with this arm? I'll be sure to let everyone know if I break it.

Best 60 ft time is 1.37 leaving on the brake, btw.

The Yank conversion kit allows it to be mounted just like it was with the 4L60-E.
