Default First shakedown runs with new stroker combo in street trim

Even though I came down with food poisoning I sucked it up and hit the track

Met up with a friend in the club and headed out to St. Thomas where they had the Grand national race and TNT.

I ran in street trim today. Sway bar (1LE) was on the car (I was too sick to take it off but it'll be off before the next trip) and I ran the M&H Musclecar drag street tires.

For comparision here is what I ran typically with the 360ci combo and street trim with 3.73 gears and DRs: 12.30@119-121 granny shifting 1.9-2.0 sixty

Today I was spinning in first lifting off the gas, hitting it again and then spinning in second)

Best Time: 11.43@123.79 with a 1.789 sixty

Shiftlight was at 6200rpm and I was grannyshifting

It was alot of fun even though I felt like puking and shitting my pants in between runs LOL!

My shifting was half decent but it'll improve alot when I adjust the master and get some more runs in. (First passes of the year are always a bit rough)

I was really happy with the runs. I drove to the track, uncapped the cutout, ran 11.43@123.79, capped up the cutout and drove home

I am thinking about stepping up to 3.91 gears.

My projection for "street trim" times after I remove the swaybar, setup the torque arm, adjust the clutch and reinstall the airbag is 11.1@127mph powershifting (I always pick up about 3mph powershifting vs granny shifting

I think 10.8X's will be possible on a 1.4 sixty and traction in all four gears will be possible on full slicks.

Raceweight was ~3525 pounds, I'll calculate the DA later. (BMR extreme and subs added some weight to the car)

Thanks ARE for building me a SOLID and FAST combo!

I'd rather **** my pants in the car than puke everywhere all over the interior! LOL!

hehe The tires are working pretty well. I think I can get in the low 1.6 range with some more suspension/chassis work. (setting up the torque arm, airbag in the right rear tire, a different gear, and removing the front swaybar)

It is SO NICE to drive to the track and uncork a cutout, race and go home. The tires are PERFECT on the highway. Makes ET streets seem like blubbery ***** of fat on your wheels in comparision LOL!

Congrats on the new set up.

Chris, you are alright with me, Brother. Going to the track, feeling like sh*t, and busting out some sweet times. Man, thats cool.

ZGet to feeling better and go bust out some 10 second times.

Coach

hehe I bet you weren't shifting at 6200rpm though

Give me a bit of time and I'll have 10.7-10.8@127mph

Awesome first time out Chris! What are your exhaust spec's? Why are you having to run a cutout? Be nice to just stroll onto the track without any changes.

Again, very nice times!!!

thanks

I actually only gained 7RWHP through the cutout. I have a single 3 inch exhaust with dynomax ultraflo muffler and single cutout in the int pipe. Headers are Edelbrock 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 with merge collectors and reducers

Now that's a true hardcore racer! Good times man, get her dialed in and you'll see some more kick-*** runs! Just wait for better air to come around
