Default Trying 29.5" Slicks

Got the Mickey Thompson 29.5 x 9 on 15 x 10" wheels mounted and put on the car. Looks aren't the greatest (tall and skinny) but more interested to see how it effects the gearing at the track.

Started off adjusting the lcas all the way back. Had around .5 in the front and touching the rear bumper. I knew that it would be easier to trim the plastic so I started there. Had about 1/8 after trimming then adjusted the rear front some. Gave me about 1/4 front and rear. Did cut some on the front just for good sake since it would do more damage.

If you don't mind, what the tire actually measure, I know most run undersized and I'm diameter limited

You will need 1.0 in front and 1.0 in back for tire growth if they are bias.

They are the pro drag radials, not bias.

The center of a PDR will not grow , but the sidewall will level up to the center crown. Straight edge across the tread will give you an idea. I would not run a PDR without 0.50" front and back taking into account the level up. Even then, that could be too tight if the rear moves any.

Looks good! I ran the 30x9 Hoosier slicks on 15x8's years ago on my SS. Made them fit the same way you did, didn't have much clearance but it was never an issue on the track. They did rub a little when taking slow sharp turns with the spooled rear though.
