Help with front and rear bumper reinforcement removal

Default Help with front and rear bumper reinforcement removal

23..!Bumper, front reinforcement and brackets
21..!Bumper, rear reinforcement and brackets

Obviously they are in front and back, but how do I remove these? I have no clue, pretend I am n00b.

You have to drop the front clip, fascia, and the rear bump cover. Everything else is self explanatory from there. You'll see the bolts and famous GM pin fasteners.

damn, 4th gen bumpers are light!!! my thirdgen bumpers are 27front and 25 rear. wow, i gotta get those off soon too
go to your local lows store adn grad a few pieces of strap aluminum and make up a little bracing so that it doesn't flex too much and spoider web your paint.

Don't know about the back - I didn't do it - but the front is pretty flimsy after you take the metal and foam out. I thought about gluing the foam back in with construction adhesive, but ended up with some tubular bracing.

Yeah, what do you guys use to replace it when it's all gone? Just some aluminum stock? Anyone have any pics of what they used?

On a Camaro, nothing. Pontiacs need a fog light bracket to retain the lights as the bumper support is used to mount the fog light assemblies.
