Car is "fairly" consistent...I say fairly because most of my competitors can hit it on the hundredth every time I usually dial in what the last test pass was and be prepared to tap the brakes if she's out front before the stripe. This a Depends question (on typically the DA getting slightly better as the night goes on). I had my best luck with keeping good records of the 660' times and DA. Good luck Do you have a good weather station/machine?

That car was within 9 thousand not hundred. Yes we keep records and use a Performaire Eclipse. We race from day into night so it can get tricky when the sun goes down.

What's it like to have a car you can rely on to run the number? Lol

If the last pass before first round was the 12.039 and the weather stayed the same I'd dial a 12.04 and watch the other end.

If this is a serious question ( you seem like you actually know whats going on), then I myself would need to know the 60ft times as well. Also track temps. But if these slips were on the day of the race, and in running order, I would dial a 12.04 if the track is hotter or the DA goes up a little and be ready to tap the brakes but it probably wouldn't be needed. If the DA or track temp stays where it is then keep the 12.04 and tap the brake if needed. If it cools down or the DA comes down run a 12.03 and run it out. The car is pretty consistent.

Down here the best guys leave a couple numbers in the bag and race the finish line.

Not a serious question, just happy with the consistency. I have been asked in pms if I thought a fuel injected car can get it done serious bracket racing. We run these cars every week.

93. The only thing I do is fill the car with a gas can instead of at the pump.I will take my truck and put the first 2 gallons into the truck and then fill the can.I want to make sure the hose has all 93.Not sure if it makes a difference but makes me feel better and seems to work.

This car maf my car olsd.I prefer olsd but it is hard to argue this car.I do take away the cars ability to "correct" itself in other areas of the tune. One of the critical points of being consistent is the ability to stage the car.You can swing your et by .1 by where you stage. The 60' times on these passes were 1.560 1.560 1.560.

Your wife has that staging routine NAILED! I'm still working with my 17yo son on his routine. rt, and getting a consistent 60' (98 in sig). We're having traction issues, so still dialing in the suspension right now. I have been telling him the staging routine and rt is what wins races.

I thought about this the other day as I was pumping gas into my can AFTER I had filled my truck up with 87.

I think next time I'll be switching the order.

This is one of my bad habits. Start with the car, end with the can.

Did you keep any of the factory tune options or adjust to minimize traction loss, timing, PE enrichment, etc and maximize consistency?
