Default Cam question

I have a sbe 346 in a 98 Camaro drag car. It currently has:

1-3/4" Kooks LTs with true duals dumped under seats
milled 241s
el torro 230/230 cam
LS6 intake and chris1313 ramair
underdrive pulley
glide with 5500 stall 8" converter
4.86 gear
275/60 radial

The pistons have been flycut .080.

I'm soon switching to fully ported 799 heads and fast intake. I'm not afraid to turn 7000+ rpm. May possibly throw a 100-150 shot at it, but it I'm NOT trying to set it up for NOS.

the car should weigh around 3100-3150 without driver

My question is how would this cam work with the new setup?

236/244, .618/.621, 110+3 lsa

What's everyone's opinions?

I think that cam along with a super vic single plane intake & 4 barrel throttle body would work good if you're wanting to get more upper rpm power.

I guess the question is how much would it help, if at all, over my current cam with a fast 90? I'm switching to a turbo setup but i want to get all I can out of the current setup without spending much more money.

You want it to carry out longer youll prob want to widen that lsa. and flycut.

Do I need it to carry out longer? I'm used to drag racing with a sbc and tighter lsa was what all of the cam guys spec'd me out before. I don't care where I shift, just want to go 660 feet as quickly as possible.

Also, I'm flycut .080, think that's enough?

thanks for the advice.

Just guidance. If you wanted more rpm anyway. Running a cam like an sbc wont switch over to the ls very well.

I just want whatever gets me down the track the fastest. I'm under no assumption that this would be the perfect cam, I just think my car would be faster with it over my current cam.

Thanks again.

Since clearance shouldnt be an issue id open the lsa up to 113. That and your 4.86 gear and 5k stall would work better.
