Default Shift and Max RPM for new build

What would be the optimal shift points and Max RPM for my new 408, 12:1 Compression L92 heads, stock rockers with trunion kit, stock valves. Carbed, Vic Jr. TH400 4.10 Gears, 3700LBS. Gonna be an 1/8th mile car

Your optimal rpm and shift points are going to be largely dependent on the power band of your cam. Do you have your cam specs yet?

I'm sure there are plenty of guys on here that could give you a real close guess where the power is in that cam but I would talk to whoever ground the cam and see where they think it is going to peak in torque and horsepower. I personally would probably shift just past or at peak hp and try to have your converter so it doesn't drop below peak torque after the shift.
