Default NEW BEST...and a few ???'s

With the mods in the sig, i got down to a 12.32 @ 109.96mph w/ 1.71 60ft. unlocked.

in nov., without the hooker headers/y-pipe/hooker catback and whisper ram air kit, best was 12.79 @ 104mph NOT locking up the converter.

i really wish i would have ran the wires for the lock up switch yesterday and see what that could have gotten me.

still got to tune the MAFT too. hooked it up and left it at the settings from before the headers and ran a 12.88 @ 106mph. took it off for the next run and went back down to a 12.3

now on to the questions. i'm running 26x10x15 e.t. drags. and i was flashing the converter right off of idle. i didnt hear/sense any spinning. it feels like a good launch. i was running 15psi. and for the life of me i could not go any better than a 1.70 60ft. i have the front sway bar removed, a/c removed, egr/air removed for weight off the front. also running convo pro fronts. now, i just really don't know why i cant get down to a 1.5-1.6 i see some of the other guys running. even with the vig3200 i'm still almost a tenth off of what most are getting. i still have to look over the car and autotap it to make sure there is no knock retard. so would that cause the bad 60's? knock retard on the launch? any other suggestions to get this down to a 1.6? thanks

every car is gonna 60 differetn from another. Most of those low 60ing cars are 01-02's and have alot of weight reduction. For your mods your 60 is right where its gonna be i believe. Have you weighed your car with al that off the front? If you want a better 60, you may have to look into more stall. a 3600 will 60 like hell, see sig for mine on nittos

but on average i see 1.64's or so

your cars flying man, it might be at its max point so the only option would be bigger stall

I concur with 98TAauto comments. He is real good for the mods he has--well excellent. However, have ever considered Hals. Kent.

Chris, based on how everyone was hooking at Byron that day, a 1.70 is pretty good the track was hooking like crap. What MAF T settings did you have?

funny thing about the MAFT... i couldn't get autotap to work, so i jsut set it to where i had it before the addition of headers, and i went up to a 12.88, then took it off and right back down to another 12.32. well when i was on the way home.... i did a few runs from toll booths and stuff on the freeway. my o2's are just a little on the fat side (.900) with the settings on the base settings. so that's why i'm selling the MAFT. i'm gonna end up with ls1-edit real soon anyways. i got rid of a lot of the KR problems with the y-pipe on the launch. my catback is still rubbing though. i'm hoping with getting rid of that and locking it up i can get to a 12.doh or close to it. i am thinking more stall. i would really like a TP4400, but funds for that are a little short, and i still have the one free restall. so i am thinking going up to a vig3600 and possibly adding some 4.10's that are in the SS. Again, i'm really hoping that the KR on the launch is keeping my car from launching hard. I'm getting one of Nineball's KR boxes to hopefully that will help.

Chris

edit-with me selling the MAFT and the Hypertech, i'm thinking some HAL's are on the way just for the fronts. and i definitely need to get the car weighed. next item is the front bumper support. didn't have time this past week before byron for that.
