Default I'm an honorary 10 second club member!

My latest round of weight reduction was enough to solidly put the car in the 6s NA. I ran back to back 6.95 @ 97mph, 1.50 60' times.

Raceweight is ~3340#, I drove 70 miles each way to the track (the car is super quiet and fun to drive on the street), had my power steering hooked up, exhaust, etc.

If only I had a hooking 1/4 mile track I'd have a solid 10.90 run. My new shortblock and head/cam setup are still in the works. As soon as I get a trailer I'll try a few passes with no catback (~50#s).

(I just made it into the 11's for the very first time tonight (11.95) )
When do you thing you'll get a good pass at a 1/4? Should be a hell of a show

Those were some nice passes. Gotta love the 6 nitrous accusations in 4 minutes sitting there in the pits before you left.

Thanks for the launch observations and the ghetto fabulous fabrication skillz on the battery tie down. LOL!

Go back to dreaming about your new Heavy Hauler Truck. BWAHAHAHAHA

Terry u gotta be kidding me?
U NEVER actually ran 10's and your claiming to be in the 10's?

Not to mention your car has weighed from 3200 to 3350 in the last 5 days.So what is the weight or are u guessing about that too.

Guys this lapper is clueless.
I wouldnt brag about your college education anymore Terryble.

Where did u go, BALLWASHER STATE U.

10 second timeslip = 10 second club.

If we all based our ET on assumptions, my buddy's GTek said I ran 9s once.

i agree with the others. till it says 10 seconds on a 1/4 mile slip with your name on it, youre full of it.

example: my car cuts 1.5 60's. so do low 11 second cars. my car does not go that fast

get a slip or shutup.

Do your timeslips read in the 6's in the 1/8?

He didnt claim to be an "official member", just claimed to run times good enough to be there.

You guys should know that a 6.95 and 97 mph are good for 10's...

Terry,
Hit that 1/4 mile track and be an official member of the 10 second club

Excellent 1/8 mile times, but sorry to say you are just a member of the Extrapolation Club for now.

Of Course, you knew this was going to be the response and wanted to see it in black & white.

6.95 in the 1/8th could equal out to 10s, but then we'd be bench racing. And bench racing is

You don't have a 10sec car, until you have the 10sec timeslip.

btw....Terry...nice 1/8th mile pass. Can't wait to see your 1/4mile results

I didn't realize some of you were so uneducated. Quick English lesson.

Honorary : Holding a title or place without rendering service or receiving reward; as, an honorary member of a society.

E.G. Although I didn't physically run 10s, I ran quick enough in the 1/8th that I'm an honorary member.

What's funny is I'm only .01th behind Tony's big dollar ultra super stroker in the 1/8th when he was in similar street trim. It's always exciting to run as quick or quicker with less.

My girlfriend was reading the truck thread and thinks you're all trying to overcompensate for something with those huge trucks of yours.

I'm afraid not Terry. My best 1/8 mile is currently 6.83 sec, 101.26 mph (1.49 60') 78F, 80%, 30.1 inHg, 3626 lbs

That puts you over a tenth slower, and 3 mph slower.

And I'm still 300+ heavier than you. I'd gladly choose to own my car over yours any day of the millenium. I'm sure others here would also agree

So, go ahead and tow it with your wuss truck to a non-Jr Dragster track and get us a real timeslip

I know you can run 10s, but I could have run 10s with my last motor but never did. No timeslip = no credit. You should know that!

Terry, IMO, you have the potential for a 10 sec run. My recent admission to the club was on these #'s:

1.52 60'
6.960 1/8 @ 97.95
10.940 1/4

So your #'s have you there. But as said above, it's time to prove it. Find a real track and run. I often drive my car for a couple of hours to race. You must have a 1/4 track within a few hours, right?

The closest hooking 1/4 mile track is a 6-7hr drive each way. When I get the car setup just how I want it I'll make the trip.

Since I pulled 497 rwhp thru the SLP dual-dual catback, I was very curious about how the new setup would run thru the muffler. So, I just swapped off my WS6 wheels and put my Draglites/Slicks on and made a pass.

10.87 @ 125.33 (1.51 60')!

1/8 mile was 6.94 @ 98.79

My runs were made through a muffler too. All I did was pull in to the track and swap the tires. It looks like my stock bottom end street car is almost as quick as a 500rwhp MTI mega-super stroker! I bet you didn't even have your power steering hooked up, lol...
