thinking of making the jump from nitrous to turbo. What electronics would I need 2step, boost controller etc would I need to get the car to leave and control boost?

Trans brake, NLR or other C02 type boost controller. Bump box makes it a ton easier to cut a good light so the cars up to boost in the first bulb and you can quickly bump into the 2nd bulbs under power. Oh and some one that knows how to setup the tune so it builds boost on the 2 step with out crazy RPM
