I'll probably put a ported oil pump and ARP rod bolts in at the same time.

Re: Not another 10 second heads/cam car???
Woo hoo, congrats Terry. Let me say that you are an inspiration to all us West Coaster's out here! It really is an accomplishment to run that kind of 60' at Carls-crap. Now haul that bad boy to HRP and race Nineball for a pair of shitkickers!

Re: Not another 10 second heads/cam car???
Congrats Terry, I was in the tower for your 1st pass (The 10.99)... I told the guys in the tower, watch this LS-1, he's begging for a 10.99999.... they said "That Car ?".... you look awfully stock. lol
As you ran through the timers, the times show-up on the computer, I saw your 6.9x in the 1/8th... and I told them "he's got it".... you did.
As a manner of observation.... you were pretty squirrely going into 2nd, if you can keep 1st and 2nd gear a bit straighter, you're gonna find yourself some more et... easily several hundreths... you drove about 1340 feet to go 1320...it makes a big difference.
I didn't set any personal et records.... but did win the brackets ..... racing and getting paid to do it is a lot of fun.
cheers,
Todd

Not another 10 second heads/cam car???
60’: 1.526
1/8: 6.964
MPH: 97.36
1/4 : 10.980
MPH: 122.26
Most of you are familiar with the car so I’ll spare everyone the full build sheet. Here are a few details:
Race weight: 3300# (It’s not the heaviest h/c car in the 10s, but it certainly isn’t the lightest either!)
DA: I don’t have a calculator link handy so here are the details: Baro: 29.89 (at sea level), elevation: 300’, humidity: 72%, temp: 66 degrees.
I’m willing to bet I have the only 10 second h/c cam with functional power steering. I drove the car to and from the track, 2 hours each way.
I’m still waiting on a 388 motor from MMS, but it’s fun to think about taking off 100# and adding 25rwhp with the stock short block. Can you say pepper killer? ... and don't worry Scott I'll be passing that 10.89 up soon.

I imagine that will end, at least for a few days , some of the latest bickering in the engine section.
