Bos lets talk about your suspension.Do you still have the front sway bar on? are you running skinnies in the front now?Did you change the front shocks to hals or you still running the road race suspension?I think you need to work on these area's if you haven't changed since the last time I saw you at GLD..Looks like you cut better 60's there.

I took the swaybar off, I'm still running the bilstein shocks all around w/eibach lowering springs w/the heavy *** firehawk rims in front...even w/all that the car seems to weight transfer pretty good from what people tell me...
I think the STR on my converter is somewhere over the 3.0 range...

I'd listen to Brad on this...
I always find out how other folks are doing at the track when I am there. That's why I would always park near Brad when he had the 30th.
You could do a 27" QTP you would need to figure out what combo you want.
HackerJoe went 11.4 spraying one stage of SAUCE outta da hole many times back in 1998 with 26x11.5x16/16x8 rims...
Also look at how Hal/QA1's have helped Roy in the past.
I also ran the 28x9x15 ET Drags last year on 15x8's and they were nice...

I think I am going to try out the
26"x10"x15" Hoosier Slick, Jegs has the actual tread listed as 10" wide
26"x10"x15" ET DRAGS are listed as 9.6" wide for actual tread....
These are the two I'm looking at...
ET drag or Hoosier

i think you are band aiding the issue and not looking at what is really hurting you....
i'd look more into the suspension issue more than anything
ever check what your pinion angle is at?
what kinda 60's do you get off the brake?

FWIW i had the front sway bar on and the front hals set superstiff@ i think 8? i eventually bumped my way up to 8 in the rear too. i couldnt turn the front ones so i just left them what i drive with on the street track hooked like glue with my tiny converter
i agree with getting a pair of skinnies to help the weight transfer.
he didnt hook on the T-brake jimmy.
bos- get a smaller tire and work your way up. you end up with too much tire and it might end up hurting you.

Yea, I will still stick with the 26" tire, going with a hoosier, and going to put the rears on 15x10 prostars, and then get 15x3.5's in the front...
Do you run a 5/16's spacer in the front and back or are they different??
Jimmy my suspension is hurting me, but not that bad...
I got a 2.1 60ft off the brake and the pavement would probably take your shoe off if you didn't have them tied...
My pinion angle is at -2

But last year and the year before a bunch of us in Chicago was cutting mid 1.5's with PI #7 and/or Yank 4400's. His converter might hit hard but I have run more gear than him and still hooked 1.53-1.57's with 16" ET Streets.
Bosworth, I would I guess look at the 27x11.5x15 Hoosiers + 15x10's for the best setup. Anything bigger and you need to start cutting/hammering the inner fenders. If you spray these would be enough too.
If I was not running a 4.10 I would probably be on 27's...

Would my hooking issues be over with the QTP's??
Aren't they just like ET STREET material?

I would get a slick either MT or Hossier. You have got to hook better with a slick in my opinion. I used to run Nittos and with a slick my times were more consistent and lowered sixty foot times. Even on bad days and track preparation--times are better with slicks. If still having trouble with slicks---need to look at other stuff on car such as suspension, weight transfer, and shocks. I was not happy with my times the other day and order Kmember and upper and lower control arms trying to improve my sixty foot times. Good luck and cheers.

That's the size I ran.cutting low 1.5's.If those don't work, you need to look at your suspenion
