Default QA1 track adjustment recommendation

I need some help setting up the rear suspension on my 2000 SS. The car is full weight, it has a M6 with Monster stage 3 clutch, Moser 9" with double adjustable QA1 shocks. Approx. 400rwhp. Looking for a starting point for the track. Thanks in advance.

Depending on track conditions and tires will determine the what settings will work better. If you are on street tires you might want to try 1 on the fronts and 4 on the back. Slicks/drag radials go as tight as you can and still hook-a good starting point is 3 on the fronts and 6-8 on the back.

Do you mean 6 compression, 8 rebound or between 6 and 8? Mine have 2 ***** to adjust.

Sorry, those are the settings for the single adjustables. I have no experience with the DA.

With the 6 speed, you'll want to run the rebound a little firmer than the compression to help minimize weight transfer back to the front during shifts. 6 compression and 8 rebound is a good starting point and you'll need to do some tuning from there to get everything dialed in. There are too many unknown variables to be able to give exact settings.

Thanks Damien, I will start with that and adjust from there.

If you dial back on the clutch, it won't be as sensitive to shock settings.

Monster Stage 3 is waay too much clutch for 400rwhp, especially if you did the "drill mod". Adding a buffer can fix that problem.

I went with a Stage 3 because I have a bigger cam, FAST 102 intake, ported 243 heads and a nitrous kit waiting to be installed. That should bring it to the sweet spot.
