Default Mwc short arm help

Is the front mount supposed to have a angle in it like this or supposed to be straight up and down. If so how far out can rod ends be unscrewed safely.

You can unscrew that arm mount some, I'd want at minimum the diameter of the rod worth of thread engaged. Yes mine is like that also. Seems to work fine.

I'm going to piggy back off this. When turning the rear adjustment nut to change the pinion angle, it just pushes the front mount forward instead of changing the angle of the rear axle... what am I doing wrong?

Your fine. Think about how the suspesion works as it goes through its motion. As the car suspension moves up and down, the lower LCA will rotate through its arc moving the rearend forward slightly which in turn will rotate the front forward.

Yeah if that bracket is at 45, it can technically swing either way during travel. If it was vertical, forward movement would be more linear but more restricted? Not sure any of that matters, rear suspension typically doesnt move a ton. Remember the stock arms had the slide joint up there and if you ever examined the wear marks on the stock torque arm it seemed like there was maybe an inch of total movement from the arm front to back at that location, likely due to the sweep of the lower arms as stated above.

The pivot link doesn't care where it is located as long as it isn't laying straight forward or straight backwards. The pivot link itself barely moves forwards or backwards.

Just installed my MWC T/A and was wondering that as well, mine is far more vertical than yours but still angled back. Wouldn't making it more vertical move the instant center forward? That was my thoughts and why I set mine up the way I did.

Yeah I'm still tweaking on all of mine. I've got my top mount on rear end screwed out a lot but still needs more to get proper pinion angle.
