Default "dynabatt" adapters impossible to find!!

I received hawker(dynabatt) battery today and the adapters needed for GM threads are not to be found at any parts store. I called Thuder and they only sell with batteries. I was even gonna buy the bracket(still will when I find adapters) These are supposed to be easily avail.? marine adapters. If anyone knows where to get them or part # etc please post. The threads on the battery anr m6 I think...the GM posts are WAY bigger.

I had a local car audio shop fab up some nice adaptive extensions from the leads for my smallest Optima dry cell. Some HEAVY gauge wire and some eye connectors (guess that's whatcha call 'em) are all it took.

So if Thunder isn't willing to sell the terminals seperately, are they at least willing to give you a part #??? That way we can spend our hard earned dollars elsewhere. I'm sure there's someone out there that would LOVE to have our money.

The adaptors we sell with the Dyna-Bat batteries we designed and had built to our specifications by a local machine shop. Originally when we had these made we had just enough made to cover the number of batteries that we keep in stock....this is why we have not been selling them separately.

Since there seems to be enough demand we can start selling them separately. We will list them separately and start selling that way shortly. Hope this helps.

yeah I talked to Paul @ thunder. They are machined, NOTjust bought and resold by thunder. I wound up machining down the stock type bolts and cutting the correct threads on them with a die. fairly easy if you have the eqt. I did go ahead and buy thunder's bracket...I want it to look nice. I am sure if lots of people ask for it thunder will make some seperately.

anyway did not mean to make it sound as if thunder was trying to jack us around.

they are the best sponsor to deal with!!

The only thing close at my autozone etc was an adapter to posts that you slide cables over and clamp. nothing that just adapts to threads.

With the kind I bought the adapter slides over the post and clamps to it. On the opposite end of the adapter lies the threaded end that you screw your factory cables into. The are made of some pretty soft lead (it seems) and are often dubed "marine adapters".

Hope this helps.

I'm certain that as these Hawker's ("Econo-Batt's") gain popularity, you will sell the adapter posts like hotcakes.

Please keep us posted as to when they are available for seperate sales. I just ordered a Hawker, and I will be in need of one very soon. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
