No. I just read your post then watched a video where my car hit the limiter. The opposite of what I said happens. You hit the mph way before the rpm because the Speedo shows the mph x rpm for the old gear. So what happens is the delay from when the rpm is met and the shift is actually made. I have since bought hp tuners and for my car to shift at 6500, I command the shift at 6200-6300 with the mph 4 mph lower than what it is at 6500. Now that you'll meet mph much sooner, you'll shift later unless your rpm is already set a little lower.

You could restall the converter to a pt4400.
If you are running the ss series you will see better shift extension and more efficient with the pt series.

Don't know what your 60's are now but I pulled 1.56 60's with my pt4000 and now I'm running a 4400

EDIT: Just saw you spin to 6600
1.75 60ft but that's because I have a 555r i really need some better tires. I do feel like I'm losing some mph from the converter but I figured that was the nature of the beast.

If you're looking at chasing a couple tenths like you mentioned I would start with a tire, then I would change to a PT series converter.

Here is a 4th gear to 3rd downshift with my Pt4400

4.10s in OD is almost the same gearing as 3.73s in D. Not terrible, and if there is limited highway driving and its not a DD I would go for it.

I had 3.73/28s/4k and switched to 4.10s. Car pulled better at part throttle obviously but i gained nothing at the track. I also had a set of 27s for the street. With a properly spec'd converter and the car being lighter like mine i didnt need that much gearing.

Well I made many runs with 26 ET Drags and 4k converter and 4.10 gears with 1.46 60 foot times. My concern is if you are putting the gears in stock F-body rear is how long they last with a good tire!!!

Good luck.
