They are both good and solid parts with people have good success with them.

I've watched Tanner beat on the BMR Xtreme for plenty of borderline 1.2x/1.3x 60's.

I think Tom Kempf may have gone to the Wolfe TA this year when he changed out the rear sway bar setup. He certainly has exercised the hard launches this year too.

The adjustability is probably pretty similar. So the real measurable difference is would be the weight of the two parts. Anyone have an a guess on the weight???

If you are thinking like that, Call Madman. Didn't xxx's bigblock z28 cut low 1.3's on drag radials on the way to a 5.3x 1/8 mile?

Is ANY torque arm worth $1200+ shipped? (Yes, the latest, greatest Madman T/A is $1200+). I say either should be fine, BMR can be had on GPs all the time for ~$450.

Well...no probably not, just offering a suggestion. Its like anything else...there's competitive, then there's the top of the heap. Chris Marsh runs a stock shortblock N2O car around here to bottom 1.3's with a Wolfe. Just FYI.

Just my opinion but I have seen Madman's setup and it is not worth 1200...Again just my opinion...Again if that 1200 is just for his torque arm (looked like a 32" ladder bar) and nothing else I don't know if it is some kind of package or not......

Noyzee -

I had been PM'ing Ken at Eastside since he had it listed on the board for sale about that Madman TA. Just wondering what made you "not care for it". Since I can't see it in person other than in the photos, and i've seen a Spohn and a BMR Xtreme Duty.

It is a nice piece, I just personly didnt care for it. I havent seen the one Ken has.
I had seen another one, i didnt care for it because to me it looked unfinished. it wasnt painted, the welds had some slag on them. it just didnt fit what i want. I show my car alot to, so the parts i get not only have to perform, but look good to.
Im not saying it is a bad piece, i know it probably works GREAT, it just doesnt fit my needs.
And PM's to ken will take for ever. you better off to call him at the shop.

I dont know where the $1200.00 T/A came from. I would love to see that piece. My T/A sells for $800.00. Its all chromemoly(TIG welded) so there isnt any SLAG. There has been 12 generations of my arms since 1996. The new units are obviously different in material sizes. We ship the arms painted not powdercoated because you cannot inspect welds and tubing with the powdercoat on it.

The Wolfe is a VERY NICE T/A! I cannot comment on the Madman T/A but I have had the BMR and the Wolfe was a better race T/A IMO.

MADMAN- Sorry if I was wrong. I PMed you ~ 1 month ago, and thought you said that the latest and greatest T/A was $1200+ shipped. So you're saying that the absolute best top of the line T/A you offer is $800? Any pics? Which one are you using now, the one with the "slider" or the one with the heim joint?

Thanks, Shawn

I guess it depends on what you can do with it and what your needs are.

I personally find the BMR Extreme to be fantastic but I am only trying to hook a 465RWHP car and not a 1000RWHP car LOL

I just didnt care for the MM T/A, just my opinion and opinions are like *** holes. just was not for me. it was a year or so ago, so maybe the new ones are different.
I have seen the bmr but have not seen the wolffe. so i guess i'll wait and see.
