Default ETs or Hoosiers, what sizes???

I have BFG DRs right now and wanna go to an ET street type tire. A few questions though...

What size fits on 16x8 take-offs (which I already have)?
How many passes will I get out of ET streets?
How long of a burnout?

The BFGs didn't do very well for me with the ST3500 being the only "major" mod and a pulley and Grots are going on this summer so...
Thanks
Nick

You can run 26x11.5x16 ET STREETS on your 16x8 takeoffs. As to how long they'll last is up to you. From what I have read your really need to heat them up good. Some people suggest 6-8 seconds after you see smoke.

I need to be able to drive it for an hour each way to the track and I've read that a full out slick can get hard from "driving"
I will probably just go with an ET street.

That always worked well for me.

I would not want to drive an hour each way on ET Streets. Once you drive around on them you'll understand why. Your safest and best bet is to change the wheels/tires at the track. JMO

Its not that bad to drive around on them...when they are at 15 psi, it does feel kind of mushy in the back...but I am going to a 24/7 setup like that pretty soon, so I better get used to it..

I ALMOST CRASHED WITH A 26X11.5-16 ET STREET WITH 14 PSI, GOING AROUND A A WIDE BANKING TURN I NOTICED I WAS A LITTLE TO THE MIDDLE OF THE DIVIDER, MOVED OVER VERY EASY AND WENT BACK AND FORTH IN A FISH TAIL ABOUT 4-5 TIMES AROUND THIS BANK, I DON'T RECOMMEND DRIVING AT LOW PSI ITS QUICK AND EASY TO AIR DOWN

I think they are fine for the street as long as they are at 25 psi...

They will harder after time though...

How many street/track miles can you usually get out of a QTP or slick, etc?

They were hard up against the rear fascia for my Center Mount Exhaust. I'll be trading them in for ET Streets next.
